Top 12 films for the times of global crisis

Are you facing the stresses and strains of the market crunch? Do you find it hard to make ends meet? Does your heart rate increase on the very thought of the incoming bills? Do you dream of escape? The solution to your problems comes in the 5-letter word: FILMS.

Think no more of expensive holidays emptying your wallet. Sit back and try the perfect combination of movies for the times of global crisis.

1. START WITH A FILM ABOUT LOOSERS

Nothing boosts your morale so well as the thought that the others have it more difficult. Some of my suggestions: Dumb and Dumber (extreme “cases” shown in the film– copying not recommended), Bridget Jones (watch out for a lonely, overweight, neurotic and chain-smoking protagonist), Revenge of the Nerds (seeing a bunch of bullied outcasts surely will do you good - your situation might not seem as bad as you previously thought).

2. GO FOR FILMS ABOUT SELF-DEVELOPMENT

Look for inspiration for taking some action. Remember Rocky? Think about his wish to triumph against the odds, his mental and physical strength, his perfect body achieved thanks to the consistent workout (girls you know what I mean, right?). Play yourself Eye of the Tiger at least once a day.

If you still do not feel inspired or you are not really into films about boxing, try
Karate Kid. The moral can be summed up in one phrase: work hard and you can get wherever you want, a kind of Obama's “YES, WE CAN” of America’s eighties. Discover your potential, believe in yourself together with Daniel-son!

3. ALREADY MOTIVATED BUT LOOKING FOR IDEAS ON HOW TO MAKE MONEY?

Try The Pursuit of Happiness – a typical “from rags to riches” movie; maybe applying for a job of a stockbroker is an option for you? Learn how you can get the job.

Go for Slumdog Millionaire if Bollywood is something that appeals to you. It IS possible to win a “Who wants to be a millionaire?”. See how it can be done.

Think about Pretty Woman – she also got it all in the end. Well, the method is NOT HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE…;)

4. DO YOU STILL WANT TO ESCAPE? HERE IS SOME IDEA…

How about to a different reality? The Matrix moves you there for the whole 136 minutes . If that is not enough for you, try to double or triple the amount with The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.

And if none of these solutions is useful, use the final solution - Leaving Las Vegas solution: sell your house, sell your car and go to Las Vegas with the money. Spend all that you have on booze and drink, drink and drink until....the crisis ends.

Choose to be a blogger

Today my blog begins, and the truth is I haven’t got anything to tell. I never liked blogs, there were just moments when I thought: "I wish I had a blog in which I could write what I think".

I never liked people who have blogs. What do they want? What are their aspirations? Maybe a pat on the back and a comment: "How funny you are!". I have always thought a blogger is someone aspiring to be funny, someone who thinks he is smarter than others, and of course very creative and different from the rest; a human being unique in the world. I call them cool guys, there are many kinds of cool guys: the cool guy in a club, the cool guy of the beach and now the cool guy of the blog. Everyone with their peculiarities, but with a common characteristic, thinking they are better than you.

But I’ve changed: my users want a blog and now I’m like you, a young blogger. Choose amazing topics, choose funny comments, choose unique jokes, choose to be one step ahead of everyone, choose to go to the forefront of new technologies.

I choose to be a blogger. I choose to be a cookie monster.
